Hello,

Wanting to bite the bullet on a rear blade, sold one one with Ford Jubilee, is this blade just right, or would it be too heavy for grading and some snow removal?
40 HP, 4WD, FEL, Loaded Tires.

Dealer about 2 hours away has last years inventory 20% off till next week.

Thanks for any advice.

I think it will work just fine. If not, I have the cheapest one LP makes and I'll trade you.

I have a 450 lb. box blade with a 400 lb. barrel of water on it for counterweight...no problems

You mentioned snow... My rb2684 is about 200lbs lighter than what you're looking at and it scratched up some driveways much more than my previous County Line blade (light duty). I don't know if you're plowing pavement, or how much, but heavy blades are hard on pavement.
I put a 1.5" thick polyurethane edge on mine for the upcoming winter.

Mostly yard work, (son building new house) stone driveway maintenance ( 1/4 mile at camp), some snow in in winter on pavement. Im think of ordering the skids for it.
The poly blade sounds like a good idea, where would I find those?

Do you use the lighter blade in dirt much, and does it bite, or tend to skim over?

Thanks

You should be more than fine. I have that same RB3784 blade that I use behind my 37.5hp Kubota L3901 and it works just fine.

I got the polyurethane edge from Polyurethane Snow Plow Blades and Wings | Secure Online Ordering
They also sell on ebay. The lighter blade (County Line) was not up to task with grading- too easy to bend.. My current rb2684 is significantly heavier duty and I believe it would do ok grading, but I almost exclusively use it for snow.
