Insurance Kioti CS2410 - Starting to think that I got me a lemon

Three months to get a starter for a new tractor is ridiculous, it's called overnight or express shipping. I can't imagine my new tractor sitting that long I'm just too busy and I'm retired...lol.

Possibly the starter was on back order, don't know. As far as assembly, all the tractors come built from Korea. The dealer or Wendell assembles the tractor as far as wheels/tire, roll bar, fenders etc.. No actual building of the tractor.
As far as the parts from the "former" dealer, you can order any part at any time, but if you hold to a certain level and order on a "stock order", then you get free freight. Most dealers try to do that because frt. on little orders will eat a dealer up and customers don't want to pay the extra freight cost.

I would pay the extra shipping charges I won't like it but I'd pay. I would tell the dealer to take one from a new tractor on the lot and let him wait for it. I've had starters rebuild in a couple days 90 days is just crazy.

I'm with you.
3 months for a started is ridicules.
At work we have had starters rebuilt within a day or 2. Sometimes the same day

'Whiskey Sniffer' and 'DK35vince' are absolutely right. Your starter problem should have been diagnosed in a matter of minutes with a multimeter. Then if replacement part was not on the shelf, and ordering it indicated on back order or delay in shipping date, the next place your dealer should have looked, would have been on the lot. If none there, then lastly, it could have been removed and rebuilt in a couple of days.(actually I think this is what they finally did..hence the $110.00 charge, on a warranty item)

Your new tractor has had more than it's share of problems, and I would probably be fed up with the Kioti brand, if it were mine......but that dealer of yours, really, really, SUCKS, doesn't know how to treat a customer after the sale, and should be avoided like the plague....HBBob

Hate to hear your having such problems. I have a CS2410 with almost 100 hours and haven't had any issues. Also, as already said, you seem to have dealer problems as well.

The problem wound up being a hydraulic line blew off of the coupling.. Thankfully this happened right at the end of the 1 year mark of when I purchased the tractor (litterally the last month) and was actually covered along with all the hydraulic fluid that leaked out.. What they had said was that there is a nylon/plastic fan that is suppose to cool the fluid in the unit, well this fan somehow lost all of its blades... So the fluid ran hot and the hose failed- Thats odd.

Now to make it worse, the new starter that they put on the unit is starting to make a clicking sound when I go to start the tractor... It is now taking longer to start and when it finally does start, it blows black smoke for a while then runs fine. I have a feeling that I will be back at the dealer in a few for another repair! I sent Kioti another email but still have not heard back form them. The unit only has 69 hrs on it now too!!! So looks like I will be spending more in gas, wish that they would compensate me for that, I could have made a fortune by now.. I will keep youll posted. Thanks for the comments.
