Hello everyone,
I just bought a Kioti 4WD DK40SE with their free loader (KL-401) program two days ago. Total price out the door, including sales tax was under 20K (5.5 % financing). Originally I was considering buying the Mahindra 4WD 4025 but the Kioti had more standard options and seemed to be a better tractor for the value. Mahindra was offering 4.25 % financing with "ROCK bottom pricing" for the 4025 with loader, which actually came in a few hundred dollars less then the Kioti. It was a tuff decision between them both, but so far I have been impressed with Kioti's 4WD and its loader. Kioti also has another tractor in the 40 HP range, the DS4110. It seems to be similar match to Mahindra's 4025 but at a cheaper price.
I am curious if anyone else compared the Kioti's tractor vs. Mahindra's tractors. Both are much cheaper than the JD or Kubota and from what both dealerships have said, both Kioti and Mahindra are taking market share from JD and Kubota due to the price value. They lack in name recognition but not quality - at least this is the dealers' opinion. I do agree that both tractor have better and much heaver gauge steel frames. Looking at the newer JD the steel seems to be much thinner (higher gauge) and I have notice more plastic parts then on the older JDs. The Mahindra and Kioti are much more heavier and solid and this helps if you have a FEL or pulling heavy equipment.
