DK40SEH
Hi guys. I'm in a pinch and could use some help. Just bought a waterfront lot and it needs to be cleaned up stat (long story). I'm on a DK40SEH.

symptoms: drives fine on flat surface. occasional loss of power which I believe is related to incline. loader arms go up a couple feet and stop - I can hear a pump running but no movement. I tried to lift the front wheels with the grapple and there appears to be very little power (went down and didn't even try to lift the front wheels). I added about a gallon of fluid through the red vent tube (removed first :) ) - dipstick is reading at the high end of the tick marks. checking with the engine off and fluid warm.

I have a small leak on the aux hydraulic lines and which is how the level got low.

any ideas what I should be doing here? I'm feeling rather out of luck right now :(

thanks!

Your rear remotes accidentally engaged?

remote is not engaged, checked the remotes (connected to grapple) and grapple is moving though slower than I thought it did.

I did notice that if I put the loader down (not in float) and curl it to lift the front end it is extending the loader lift arms which it shouldn't - then if I try to lift the loader you have to hold it for a while before the arms raise - then they stop really low like before.

Try unplugging and then plug in all 4 couplers beneath the right step at the control valve. Make sure you get them seated back. Give that a try. Do this with the engine off of course.

for anyone that has an issue like this - visually I couldn't tell the line was loose - I checked because @k0ua asked to unplug and re-connect them.

man, you guys and gals are great!

Not a genius. Heard of this problem before. I just took note and remembered. :)
