Kioti DK45SE HST burning odor under load.

Good evening. I'm new to this forum and a proud owner of a 1 year old Kioti DK45SE HST. Last summer the dealer replaced the transmission under warranty for a hydrolic leak. This machine has been great to own and operate but when pushing snow this winter, I've noticed a burning ordor under load. Almost like a clutch smell. I noticed it when traveling in high range at around 2000 rpms and then again in mid range when pushing snow back hard in 4wd. I plan on making arrangements for sending it back to the dealer for a look but I was wondering if any of you Kioti owners have experienced this with your HST tractors?

Firstly, welcome to TBN. There are lots of opinions on here as well as lots of good advice. As for your weird smell, not on my CK27. I think the dealer should get involved in this one real soon, like yesterday.

No funny smells on mine. A burning clutch smell, burning wire smell are very similar to some folks so I would definitely be having at the dealership sooner than later.

I've had a burning smell on mine. It's only happened with extended road travel in the middle of the summer on a hot day pulling at 10,000 # load in high range (we all do that all the time, right!?!). I did a few of those runs (50 KM round trip) and had it both times, but never since and certainly never in mid range. The tractor was also new back then and I attributed it to that. I believe my hydraulic fluid change came after those trips, I no longer have the factory stuff in there.
