I have the above tractor and the solenoid that operates the hydrolics for opening and closing the bucket has failed. Does anyone know where I can buy a replacement solenoid at a reasonable price. The kioti dealers in Australia are asking $800 AUD.

Does seem a lot dosn't it, I think the part number is LO-516140 and the O rings LO-5037058.

How about just using the rear remotes to control the bucket? Otherwise you should be able to get a full new diverter valve for $800. Doesn't sound right as a solenoid shouldn't cost more than $200 or so. Is the dealer just going to swap out the whole diverter/third function valve kit??

Thanks IT that may be a way around it, the dealer only quoted on the solenoid but I do wonder how much knowledge they had of the part I need and may well have quoted a full replacement.

How about a photo of this thing? Does it have a brand name or model number on it? Where is the valve located? Does it work by switching the function of the curl circuit or does it use a three-position (up-neutral-down) rocker switch?
You can get a quality valve for $200-300 but you'll need to match the port threads and mounting holes for a clean installation.

Well, that is indeed a diverter valve (as opposed to a third function valve). I haven't seen one that looks quite like that before or one mounted on the torque tube, maybe that's just my limited exposure. Can you expand on what you mean when you said the solenoid failed?

There are two parts to these valves: a hydraulic "spool" that does the actual switching of the flow and an electrical solenoid that moves the spool (against spring pressure) from the default position to the other position. If only the electrical coil has failed, it can easily be replaced if parts are available. In fact, these valves can be ordered with any of several coils for different applications (e.g. 12v, 24v, 110vac, etc.) Do you know if the spool is jammed or if the electrical solenoid has failed?

You can certainly replace the complete solenoid valve but the trick will be ordering the one that mates with the existing fittings and mounting bracket.
