Kioti ck4010hc
Hello, I'm purchasing a ck4010 with a front mount blower. I want a chute deflector and the dealer says that Kioti now only offers an electric option, they claim the hydraulic was too problematic. Whether that's true or not, is not really of concern for me. What I do want to make certain of is that the deflector can be operated off of the switch on the joy stick. Does anyone know for sure? I don't really want it to operate off of an aftermarket switch that's mounted somewhere in the cab. The dealer says yes, it will defiantly work off of the joystick controller. I just want to be certain. Thanks!

If you don’t trust your dealer, don’t buy from them!!!

You may want to push the issue you want the 3rd function control instead of the switch that comes with the unit you're having installed.

Mine came with a switch to be drilled in near the rear remote levers. The installers put this one in instead...I am thankful.

I'm interested as well, I have the CK3510SE - w/SB66, after reading your thread I asked my dealer he did not know - asked another dealer, known to be one of the top ones and they felt that due to the "speed issue" (hydraulic deflector moved to fast), that Kioti may make changes, they felt the speed issue could be solved by a washer being inserted in the line restricting the flow - I told them I needed something so they are looking into it - at first glance they said it now shows a new chute is required for the hydraulic unit and the electric is only available with the smaller units - but due to communication issues with Kioti they were not sure, will look into it and get back to me - if you find anything let me know - when they call me I'll post their findings.

My ck4010 has a front blower and hydraulic Shute deflector. No issues with it after two winters.

I suspect the truth of the matter is that an electric deflector is much cheaper and the seasonal changeover is faster and cheaper.

The hydraulic deflector requires threading two hoses the full length of the tractor. A couple of wires, a couple of wires, a small electric motor, and a connector are certainly cheaper than those long hoses and hydraulic disconnects, plus the hydraulic cylinder

Appreciate the feed back - The dealer is going to find out what is going on, he knows they did send out an update not totally sure how they are going to go, wants to stick with the hydraulic as he has had no problems - Like everything else; I'll bet if it becomes electric option only the price will remain the same:confused3:.......

How did autocorrect change chute to Shute?

i have the similar hydraulic powerpack unit powering my front snowblower. rotator is hydraulic, same joystick controller. but theres alot to the plumbing for these things. i can see why they go electric. personally i prefer the hydraulic. This is the rotator assembly and pressure relief valve (NO SHEAR PINS)rotator text.jpg good controller view.jpg side bracket 1 and 2.jpg snowblower installed.jpg powerpack 1.jpg

The CK's are far less complicated, I lose the FEL, attach the sub-frame then the snowblower - the hydraulics use the FEL for lift and rotation, with the SE I have the rear valves so I can run chute lines to it, costly with the length of line but less then the cost of the front valve install - Your's is a nice unit, like the fact you keep the FEL.....

Not sure. Why is it capitalized? Must be an Apple thing. I know this site can’t handle some contractions, apostrophes, etc on my iPhone or this iPad, although some of those issues seem to be improving.
