Hi,

I'm currently shopping for my first tractor. I'm looking for something in the 45-60hp range and have been settling in on the Kioti NS or NX line - probably with a shuttle shift.

I just saw a comment from a dealer that Kioti officially discontinued the NX line a month ago. I was shopping for a tractor and was about to pull the trigger on an NX5010. I know there were other issues with the NX electronics besides the HST, so I'm hesitant, but the dealer might cut a deal to get them off the lot. Currently, I have a NX5510 priced at $34500, NS4710 $32k, NS6010 $37500. Thoughts? I also went to Kubota for a L4802 and MX5400, but I'm leaning towards the Kiotis.

I wouldn't touch an NX; hell, my dealer won't even sell them.

My first and foremost question is, do you have a Kioti dealer nearby? If not, I'd be shopping for a tractor that has a local dealer presence. Long distance tractor purchases often turn out to not be ideal, simply because a long distance dealer won't be able to provide adequate service if you require it and you will at some point).

Yes, we do. There is a "5 paw" Kioti dealer within 30 minutes - they say they are the biggest Kioti seller in the US. We also have Kubota, JD, Mahindra etc. close by.

I wish Kioti had made a 50hp gear-driven NS. They only make an NS5310 HST, no shuttle shift.

The dealer is pricing the NX5010 to move. Should I be worried if I get an NX in shuttle shift instead of HST?

Registered just to follow this thread. Was 100 percent sold on an nx45hst until about 5 minutes ago.

I like the extra options, no idea if I'd ever use them (just closed on land, first tractor). Lots of work to do, lots of land clearing, lots of heavy lifting, tractor to support my portable sawmill, I wanted something a bit larger than the typical l3902.

A too am in middle tn and pretty sure your talking LSE tractors. Looked at the dk's, didn't realize i needed the SE version to get an HST (more than just me need to be able to drive this).

Guess I'll get with my salesmen on available options and add back the ones I feel I need.

The NS is an excellent tractor, and one you ought to give a serious look at. If I were going larger than my CK, that's where I'd go; of course, that's just my thoughts.

Yes, NS is by far my favorite of the NX, NS, DK lineup. It’s closest in size to the NX, but more mechanical. I like the operator layout. Nice machine.
