I need some input on horn wiring for 2013 Kioti DK45 se.
Replaced the horn with a universal automobile horn, but it just keeps blowing the fuse when switch is pushed.
I had to replaced the plastic connectors with individual female terminals on both the horn and diode wires. Diode tested fine and confirmed line input on correct terminal.
The switch may be faulty or stuck closed since there is full voltage present without pressing the switch, but seems that would just turn the horn on all the time.
What gets me is that both the diode and horn have a black w/white stripe wire and light green wire (hot). The horn makes sense, one positve and one negative. Diode should be in line with positve wire, so why would have two separate colors and one just happens to be the same color scheme as negative on horn?
Cannot get continuity on black w/white stripe wires to battery negative or any frame grounds.
Almost just want to run new wires with a generic push switch and ditch the diode and rats nest wiring loom.
