Working on a diverter for A Kioti CK3510SE. Initially though the loader fittings were JIS, and bought the required ($$) adapters, which function like the left image:
Took a few fittings off yesterday and found that it is actually BSPP. Essentially the same threads as JIS, but the male fittings have an internal 30-degree cone, like the right image above.
I can see how this seals (in an *** backwards way compared to most fittings). But now I'm shopping for adapters to go from 3/8 BSPP Male on the loader to the JIC 6 female swivel on the new hoses. The adapters do not have the 30-degree cone inside the female fittings
so how the heck does that seal? No cone face, no o-ring, no taper. Am I looking for a unicorn fitting? or can I just use teh Femal JIS fitting I already have? Threads are the same, but with 2500 PSI in the system I want it to seal!
