Kioti hydraulic fittings - size ?

DK 47 though I suspect they are all the same across the whole line.
I want to change something I want to add a fitting that turns and angle
What size is the fitting?
I bought the service manual and nowhere in it does it specify.

The ones fitted to mine are Japanese metric according to the guy that came to fix a popped hose on my loader. Not easy to find.

To people in the business....hoses and fittings are just as generic and common as nuts and bolts, grease fittings, or lynch pins.


Unless someone has your specific model....and knows which exactly of the dozens of hoses and fittings you are talking about....no one is gonna have a clue.

There are good thread/fitting ID charts on line. Take it apart....see if it's JIC, npsm, orb, etc. Then take some measurements....thread OD, ID and pitch.

MEasurements are the easy part I have thread gauges for imperial and metric and mics and calipers galore but I haven't a clue what "JIC, npsm, orb, etc." are or how taking them apart might reveal such. I couldn't be so fortunate as to find markings could I?

Sometimes they are marked, but unless you know the mfg and understand their marking codes it won't help much other than size ID. Because pretty standard for non metric fittings is sized in 1/16".

Like a 08 or a -08 fitting refers to 1/2" (8/16)
A 06 would be 3/8 and a 12 would be 3/4, etc

You can Google the above acronyms. Like npsm, jic, orb, orfs, etc. Or Google hydraulic fitting ID. Or simply take one apart and post a pic.

Some fittings you simply cannot tell without disassembly. Like JIC and orfs look the same when installed. And even npsm would be hard to tell for the average person. But someone familiar can spot them based on the exposed threads of the male fitting

Yah. I should check and see if this is covered in machnery's handbook.
I can't tell you how often I find what I'm looking for in that one volume with print so tiny I need a microscope to read, but it's often all in there.

I have at least 4 different style and multiple sizes of most on my Kubota (JIC, NPT, Metric, BSPP) depending on what part of the tractor/loader I'm working on.

Discount hydraulic hose use to have a decent chart showing fitting sizes and differences. There are a number of other sources that can narrow it down.

Even a picture of the fitting in question might help narrow down to type of not the size.

Make that 5 types of fittings! Almost forgot SAE o-ring.

Here is a good chart I when needed. It gives actual outside dimensions and thread pitch to quick and easily figure out the fitting with the simple of the calipers and thread gauges. In the mean time, you can also learn a little bit of Portuguese.

All you need to know: Rosca = thread, Fios/FIOS = Thread pitch

I have a funny feeling that the thread you'll find that matches is the BSP one, simply going by with what's on my tractor that's also made in South Korea.
