Kioti 150 KL 2021
Good afternoon
I have a 2021 Kioti KL150. I have only recently purchased from a retiring farmer. Trouble is the canopy on the ROP does not fit under my garage door.
The plastic canopy is attached to the ROP “U bar by 2 smaller “u bars” and 4 kbolts. I think I could undo this fixing and using the same attachments attach the canopy at a lower position. It would mean bringing the supporting bar to a position under the horizontal ROP component. Has any body come across this problem and solved it using this repositioning
Thank you
Bryan

I don't have the canopy on my rops. But can you tilt it back with the ROPs bolt adjustment holes? Not sure that would still allow you to get into the seat without bumping your head though.

Some say it's not as strong that way, so you can always lift it back up when using it. I leave mine in about the 45 degree angle.

Thanks PTF-NC
My actual problem is that the plastic canopy doesn’t fit under my shed door. I am wondering if I can change the sub-structure attachments so that I bring down the canopy by about 5-6cms. This will give me enough room to fit under the door.
Specifically i want to turn the u bolts around so that they attach to the aluminium struts beneath the ROPS not above.

So the 2 long aluminum main rails of the canopy are sitting on your ROPS, they will not get any lower without cutting them. Then you'll need to fabricate a new way to attached the plastic canopy back onto the ROPS...

How tall are the aluminum main rails?

Can you weld? although, you could bolt together what I'm thinking about...

Thanks O & T
The aluminium rails are attached to the ROPS and to the plastic canopy by nuts and bolts. By undoing and reversing the U clamps I could bring the rails underneath the horizontal ROPS. I was wondering if there is any safety issue with doing that or will it predispose to more rapid wear and tear etc I was hoping that someone might have had the same problem and had modified the attachment.

Have not seen it done on TBN or OTT... There shouldn't be any safety issues since the canopy is for sun and rain protection. As long as you are not banging your head into it - your fine!!!

I used a golf cart roof and mounted it under my ROPS, I only had a inch to spare! Not sure if it will help any but here's the link...

It the looks like canopy metal frame will be maybe 10-15cm lower than it is now if you mount it below the ROPS. And they you'll use some 2x4's to go on top of the rails to support the canopy? Maybe put the rails sideways under the rops for more headroom?
I don't think anything is too fragile with that canopy frame, or the rops(just don't cut into it!), so mount it how ever it works for you.

The ROPs is a hollow tubing (at least mine looks that way). Why not cut the amount out of each side you want to drop it. Put in a smaller dimension but snug fitted tubing in the bottom side and weld that to the original tubing, then put the top half you cut off onto the new tubing and weld them all together. If you don't weld you could hire the job out. This should reinforce the ROPS sufficiently and give you what you are looking to accomplish and look good too.
