I was trying to change the blades on my Kioti finishing mower, but I am unable to loosen the nuts that hold the blades in place with an impact wrench. Any suggestions?

I have a Kioti 72" RFM. They are right hand threads. I use an electric impact to take the blades off for sharpening and sometimes it will just barely cut the mustard w/ 240 ft/lbs rating. You might try a 1/2" drive socket on a breaker bar to do the trick. You can wedge something between the blades and the deck or between the belt and pulley to keep the spindle from turning. What kind of impact are you using? You may need to step it up a little bit to something more stout if using one of the smaller rated 1/2" electrics.
Might try putting some anti seize on the threads when you put them back on ( assuming you get them off)
Thanks! I called a dealer and they confirmed that they are right-handed before I started. I used a pneumatic impact wrench - don't know how many pounds per square inch that gets. But at least there is no hidden "safety mechanism" that I am missing (like some pin that needs to be cored out?) - I just need to use more brute force?

Good to ask the questions before stripping anything.
Loosening something that spins is a hard thing to do. A strong impact wrench is definately the right tool for the job. Probably just need more torque. PB Blaster can help a bunch.
