2001 Kioti DK45
Hi All,

Currently I have a 2001 Kioti DK45 and I would like to upgrade to a larger tractor. I'm thinking that I would get another Kioti or jump to the Kubota. This is my question. Does either company have a tractor with a cab heat/a/c which is able to operate the backhoe from inside the cab? It doesnt really make sence to me for the backhoe seat to be outside the cab.

You won't find anything like that in a compact, only industrial backhoes.

I recently bought a cab LS tractor with BH, and have the same frustration... that comfy, clean cab is right behind me with almost zero benefit except to provide shade if I'm parked into the sun. I needed a tractor with PTO more than a BH, so an industrial TLB wasn't in the cards.

BTW: Depending on your dealer situation, you may want to consider LS too. I cross-shopped both orange tractor brands, and LS was far cheaper, has tier 4 engines without DPF, and a 5 year warranty. Believe my LS BH is the same model Kioti offers on the DKs too... different paint color, but they have same specs/appearance.

That JCB is a handy looking unit, but most for sale seem to be in Europe.

You'll pretty much need to look at an integrated industrial TLB instead of a compact or utility tractor with a backhoe hanging off the back in order to get a single operator station setup. I think the only manufacturer of smaller industrial TLB's right now is Kubota. Deere did have a model like that a few years ago but discontinued it.

A while back there were rumors about Kubota offering a cabbed version of its M59 model, but they just had a huge new model intro and unless I missed it, there was nothing new about the M59. Maybe someone here or a Kub dealer would know if that was just a trial balloon or not.

Many people love the Kub industrial TLB's, but they are not inexpensive. There are a few outfits that sell add-on cabs for the Kubota TLB's (Sims, Laurin, maybe others). If you really need that kind of setup right away and are able to afford it, that's probably your best immediate alternative.

That said, you can find a used full-sized TLB with cab for less money if its size (15,000 lbs) and needing some tinkering to keep it going don't put you off.
