Tractor
Kubota M108 FWA loader, 2014 Kubota M7060,Kubota MX 5100, Ford 1500, Kubota Bx25 , Kubota RTV900, Kubota ZD331 Zero turn mower.Kubota B1200 Grey to be restored.
I would like to hear from anyone that has purchased one. I am very very seriously considering purchasing one. It will be replaceing a Case IH 595, which is a lovely little tough and strong as a bull tractor, but like the cab and FWA.....What can I say.. the sun certainly isn't sprouting any new growth of hair on My head.....and tired of breathing through a bandanna. Afraid now that the new Lone Ranger movie is out,, anyone wearing a bandanna will be classified as a bank robber and we certainly don't want to piss Him off!!.. I currently have 3 Kubota tractors, and well, so much for customer loyalty, there was a 10K price spread between Kioti and Kubota, and well when it comes down to it, money talks and BS walks....
The Kioti has some really cool features, the fit / finish as good as or better than Kubota, would like to know how the electronic PTO system works, tractor will be used basically for bush-hogging.The Hydraulic shuttle may take a while to get used to, as clutching just seems the natural thing to do. Left foot has to be good for something besides just walking and tapping to music..

Thanks folks!! Looking forward to hearing your sides of the story..

Cheers

Roger

Well, the only comment I can make is about the electronic PTO. I was really excited about the electronic automatic/manual function of the PTO, but don't find I use it at all. The problem for me is that it comes on to strong and I'm just scared I'll end up breaking something. I use my PTO for snow blowing so the auto function (raise the 3pt and the PTO shuts off, lower it and it's back on) seemed like a great idea, but I end up just leaving it on manual and spin away when it's in the air. I slow the RPM's down to an idle to engage the PTO and all is fine.

As far as my DK45 goes, it's been bullet proof and and a great tractor. It's got some features that are nicer than the Kubota's I looked at and some that's aren't as nice. Overall, it's a little more capable, the fit and finish is as good and the price is right. Good luck.

Hi LiveRoll

I got a RX6010C last year. (The C just has the synchro clutch, PC is Power Shuttle). The electronic PTO system is fine. On my machine its a yellow push/pull button. I always have the throttle low, like idling, when you engage it. I think that is just sensible. For the times when I have forgotten there was no sudden jerk in starting, seemed OK. Perhaps the electronic system is a soft start, I'll ask my dealer in a few months when I see him. Build quality is excellent. In Australia we just get the 6010C and not the 6010PC. The later has a wet clutch and would be $5k more. I have found using the clutch really easy. It's a nice, capable tractor.

Well, I pulled the trigger on the RX 6010 PC....................... I do like it!! Installed an ASO ( manual air shut off valve for oilfield work , mandatory item,) and put it to work,, Of course only after putting 2" blocks under the seat,,,,,,,,, still could use another inch or so. the hydraulic shuttle is a total treat great for bush-hogging, tractor rides very rough, loader has been removed , and rear tires are not ballasted yet, thinking perhaps lowering air pressure on fronts a tad. but overall it is a beefy little tractor, like the gearing, like the roomy cab, just have to get all settled in.. I certainly don't think I made a mistake, especially being $10K less money than the other orange tractor..................I did notice after delivery that it does not have the rear remote 3 pt adjuster to raise and lower while outside,, would that be available as an option? I should give the dealer a call and check, but overall I LIKE it!!

Cheers

Congrats, hope it works well for you. I've never heard of an ASO valve, how are you using the tractor in an oilfield, are you just operating around wells?

Yes, I mow and snowplough locally for oil companies, they require anything diesel powered to have an ASO, in case there is a wellhead leak and gas is escaping, as a diesel will "take off" uncontrolled until it explodes, unlike a gas engine so with an ASO it shuts off the intake robbing the engine of oxygen or natural gas influx.

Ahhh, makes sense, thanks for that, very interesting. Very nice tractor, too big for my needs, but I'm still jealous.

I have only sat in one, started one, and looked one over. I think that 6010 is the sweetest tractor in Kioti's lineup. Good luck with it. I think the PTO is soft-start on the wet-clutch model (seemed like it when I engaged it a few times anyway). I wish my DK90 was that way....

There were rumors on here last year about Kioti coming out with a bit more powerful version of the RX6010, something around 70hp supposedly. I wonder if that will pan out.

Yes,there will be a new RX tractor later this year. In Europe it will be the the known as the RX7320C/PC and uses a 73Hp tier 4 engine.
I am sure this has been seen as a prototype as some of your shows already ?

Will it be coming to the states? Will it use the same loader as the 6010? Will it be physically larger or just more power?

Update: I am now showing 40 hours on the clock,,of which 36 would be "billable" ( working for it's diesel fuel......... lol nothing around here is free) Other than raising the seat assembly by two inches with blocks,,, and it could go up another inch, , I really do like the tractor, Have ballasted the rears which made a huge improvement in ride and handling.
The tractor shifts nice, I do like the shuttle it is smooth and very fluid like, nothing sudden, it handles my 72 inch rotary cutters very well, and seems to have adequate torque for the very heavy wet overgrown matted areas. I like the cab layout it is as big a cab as on My 108 Kubota and in my mind, better laid out. AC seems adequate, no real irritating squeaks or rattles. Electronic MFWD seems to shift in and out smoothly
To me, overall a nice beefy stout little tractor, reasonable on fuel about 6 liters per hour @ PTO RPM.

LiveRoll, How does your 6010 start when it sits overnight? I just bought mine and only have 10 hours on it but I notice that when I do a cold start the engine runs rough for 10 seconds or so and it smokes what I would consider excessive for a modern diesel engine, I am letting the glow plugs complete their cycle of about 10-15 seconds and the outside temp has been 50-70 degrees so not cold out.
Other then that issue it runs good, excellent tractor.

Yes, Mine does the same as well, it is like firing up and old Russian tank engine, smoke and rough, but it seems to clear up after a few seconds, and seems to go strong. I have about 80 hours on mine now and it has done everything right, no problems as of yet, other than the seat being much much too close to the floor, raised it 2 inches and will probably raise it one more. AC works well, I have been using the hyd shuttle for the majority of shifts and gearbox range changes. One thing I do notice that use of the parking brake is imperative! Just leaving it in gear, will not hold the tractor once shut down, with it having that hydraulic shuttle; like a normal geared tractor once nothing is running and in gear it will hold itself. Other than that, a sturdy, reasonable tractor. I would like to have the rear external TPH lever, but mine does not have one and I don't know if it is available as an option from Kioti, any response I get from their "help line" is an email telling me to call my dealer

Thanks for the info, I won't worry about it anymore, I agree on the 3pt, a external lever would be nice, I put a quick hitch on mine but trying to hook up the roto-tiller tested my patience the other morning, I am on flat land so parking brake not a big issue but I can see where it would be in the hills. This is my first tractor with shuttle and it really is slick to use with the loader, so much so that my skid steer is probably going down the road.
