Kioti RX8030 & loader
I have just taken delivery of a new Kioti RX8030 here in Australia. 76hp Daedong turbocharged engine, Daedong loader with 4-in-1.

The lower link ends are cassette-type balls. I'm looking to replace them with cassette-type quick hitch fittings, as shown.

Does anyone know where these are available from? I cannot find any in Australia.

Cheers
Roger

I sold the pair that you have pictured. Those are modified to have the extendable ends on them. They are available from AMA in the form as pictured.

I also sell them, have the parts in stock.

Top link end and draft link ends.

There was a time when Kioti offered these as an option. You might want to check with your dealer about them.

Good luck ;)

Thanks for that info.

I'm doing a "parallel" search to the dealer's search. He has already suggested the best solution might be to cut off the eye ends and weld on the quick hitch ends. (which is what you must have done?) Suitable weld-on ends by CBM are available locally.

If possible I'd prefer to retain the existing "cassette type" eye ends as-is, so they could be re-installed down the track.

I was hoping what I'm looking for might be off-the-shelf items.

I'm also in conversation (one-way at this time) with the Australian importer of Kioti, so I'll wait to hear from them before getting out the cutting torch. :)

Hello LGvaltra / Australia!
If you want to use your quick hooks from the cabin, then you can make this
Look my post at same page as yours: My quick hitch is hydraulic

Actually there is no "good" reason to have the hooks extendable at all. Simply get the correct block size of steel that you would have if you were to cut the extendable ends off and weld them onto the hook ends. Mark for the pin location, drill and install the pin just as you would with the extendable ends, these pieces are then locked in and simply do not move.

Fairly simple, and leaves the OEM parts in OEM condition.

You're absolutely right! I'll do just that - thanks. (saves cutting too)

Incidentally, I had a look through your photos after the fire. Talk about devastation. We also had a bad bush fire in 2002 which jumped the road and took out quite a few of our recently planted olive trees. But all good now of course, so hope your block is looking good again too.

Cheers

Thank you for posting that Markus. Great innovation!

The operating lever on the hook ends on my recently departed LG (LS) had to be lifted, then pulled back to release the ball, so when I get the new pair of hook ends, I'll see how the mechanism works and might do something similar. Although I'd still need to get out of the tractor to remove the top link pin, so there might be no real gain. Mind you, with all the home brew I drink, I need all the exercise I can get! :drink:

Haven't decided yet whether to go with CBM or Waltersheid ends, both of which are available, but very thankful to Brian for his tip about leaving the original eye ends intact.

HelloLGvaltra!

If the operating lever on the hook ends had to be lifted and then pulled back to release the ball
then you can make this kind of lever.
There is fine degree too.

Walterscheid, CPM hooks do not need that end lever.

For top link of bigger tractor use this a rope to close and open. See the spring for lightening.

For small tractor you can use a rope or this self locking lever.

@PikaPika I like the ingenuity shown in that first photo - ie - first lifting, then pulling back.

I have a pair of Walterscheid Cat 2 hooks ordered, so will investigate options when they arrive.

Thanks for the photos.
