I have a new kioti ck 2610 and today the throttle kept going from full throttle to mid throttle. has anyone ever had this happen? any ideas how to fix this? thanks in advance

Sounds like something loose in the linkages of the throttle. I'd examine the linkage from the throttle to its end and see what you find.

On many compact tractors, the throttle position for 540 PTO is just slightly less than wide open throttle. Perhaps the OP is using some PTO driven equipment and wishes to run it at its rated speed. At any rate, most likely the problem is a loose connection in the throttle linkage. Many tractors have a pivot point in the linkage where there are a couple of friction washers and a nylock nut to apply pressure to them. The friction between the washers and the linkage will hold the desired throttle setting.
thanks for your reply. when I say full throttle I am meaning that the throttle position is not staying in the position I set it at. I will check for friction washers and go from there. also is it normal for the throttle lever not to go all the way up? there seems to be more than a third of space left for the lever to go up before it reaches the top. how ever it the engine dose rev to full throttle.. thanks all again

I realize my CK30hst is a different and older model but under the dash on the right side where the throttle shaft goes through, there are friction washers on the throttle shaft and the adjustment on mine is a double nut on the shaft. A pita with no room to work and two wrenches needed. Mine was a little lose when new and a little adjusting made it stay in place.

That was what I was thinking. I have never seen a loose throttle lever on a Kioti. They are usually so darn stiff you can't move them. Mine was, so I lubed it up some and got it moving again. Apparently they changed their design or something.

Mine was stiff as can be when new...loosened now with 225 hours.

Mine kept sliding back all the time for a couple of years until I got sick of it. There is a bolt you can tighten up but it is not easy to get to. From memory I removed the dash cover.
