I was able to get a wrench down along the slot by the throttle lever and tighten the nut just enough to fix the problem. thanks again all!!

Old thread but that's ok. I had this problem on my ck25 as well and got fed up using bungies so I did a search and found this thread.

I had blown a power steering hydraulic hose and was cleaning things up and decided to fix this. During the repair and cleaning I removed the small front panel directly below the steering wheel. This provided visual access to the two nuts. In my case the nuts were snug, not excessively tight so I simply tightened both of them with an 18mm socket and 6" extension. You can sneak the socket and extension in just to the left of the parking brake handle. Much easier than trying to get wrenches in there. We'll see how it goes.

Brand new CK3520 SE HST (25 hours) with this problem of throttle lever not staying up. Makes running rotary tiller impossible.. I'm turning off linked pedal and when attempting to put the throttle at a specific RPM the lever falls down (lower RPMs) on it's own. I followed the linkage to the throttle body, which appears that the spring there would be the only thing providing resistance to 'pull' down the lever to lower RPMs. I see in the thread above mentions two nuts behind the panel below steering wheel. Little confused how there could be 18mm nuts seeing (at least what I can see without removing the panel) the linkage from the lever to the throttle body.

Has anyone else dealt with this? I REALLY don't want to haul this back to dealer as it seems it would be simple to fix.

Is there a parts manual (I have service manual which showed absolutely nothing in this area) out there somewhere I can access or purchase (haven't went to dealer just yet). At least in a parts manual you can see how things are put together (without having to start removing panels).

Tightened up the two nuts as pointed out in thread above through the slot on the dash. Quite a pain to get to with a wrench without removing the panel (which I will do next time so to apply some loctite to stop this issue). Not the greatest design......I know I double nut things when I don't trust one nut to stay tight but that's me redneck engineering something, not designing a tractor throttle.
