Buying Advice Kioti vs Kubota vs Mahindra vs LS

I would be looking at the DK first and if its a good machine without any abuse I would bring it home.

If not the rest listed are all good machines so I would pick the ones that appeal to me and go back and sit on them do some test runs at the dealer to see which I was most comfortable on then make my decision based on the machines ability to do the work needed and the comfort level. Remember you will be spending hours in the saddle and comfort can make or break you sometimes.

You will find on forums when asking about particular brands that people generally side with there brand. Im very active on mustang forums and when guys ask about superchargers of course theres is the best. Why wouldnt they think that if they have hadnt any issues. Id say dealer is the way to go like has been mentioned.

I found a fourth tractor and bought it. It's a 2012 LS 3038 with 200 hours for $11,000. It has a FEL. I bought it from a private owner and it still has 2 years left on the warranty. It's a little smaller than the DK, but his is my first tractor. I've used it for a few things, mainly the loader. It works well. Now, I'm in the market for a Bush Hog for cutting my field. I'm looking at a 5' or 6' rotary cutter. Any advice on whether to buy new or used? A local person has a 40hp King Cutter for $500. Is this a good rotary cutter?

An 8 foot cutter (5 HP per foot of cutting width) is going to be a little much for your LS.:laughing: Good price though

Seriously, 40HP tells us nothing. What's the width, number of spindles, General condition etc...

I'm guessing the "40hp" comment is the gearbox rating....pretty common.

Around here you can get a decent 5-6' rotary cutter for about $500. I sold my Rhino SE6 for $500 and it was very solid, and I paid $500 for it two years prior, so I broke even.
