Anyone got any compairison on the CK25 and the 10 Series? I've spoken to both dealers and looked at both. Funny thing that the dealers both bad mouth each others tractors. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Not sure about the CK25 but the Kioti DK35 & 45 use the same Dae Dong engine as Mahindra 3510 & 4110.
Bad mouthing the other manufactures does not make for good sales practices.

IMO, a closer comparison to the Kioti CK25 would be the Mahindra 2615.

Kioti IS Daedong, they also supply some LG/Farmtrac and LG/Montana engines.

Funny? No that is actually a pretty sad comentary on both dealers.

We have a golden rule at our company, if you badmouth the competition then you are terminated. Anyone who cannot speak to the positive aspects of their own product, and can not describe the features of the products and how those features are benefits to the customer is simply not knowledgeable about his own product and cannot be trusted as a professional sales person.

If you have a good tractor dealer in your area, he will tell you all about his products and why they are good products for you, in your applications.

Dealers that "knock" the competition are just showing their ignorance of the competition. Most of the time, I think you'd find the dealer has never even been on the competition. If he/she has, then it's just visciousness and I wouldn't fail to tell the dealer that I don't want to hear that, but only what his/her tractor offers me.
I agree, the comparison is not the 10 series, which would be a closer CK20 comparison.
Both tractors are good. I personally do not like Mitsubishi gas or diesel engines, but a lot of people do, so, of course I recommend the Kioti with Daedong engine. It's one thing I'm not worrying about going wrong with my tractor!
I like the layout of Kioti better, and feel the fit and finish is a cut above as well.
You simply need to get on both of these and decide which one feels the best for you. Are the controls in a comfortable location? Do you have enough leg room? Is the platform wide enough for comfort with your body type? Other than that, the best deal is probably the only other consideration.

i agree. nonetheless. which holds up better? does one have a better reputation than the other. I've narrowed my search to one of these two manuf. both dealers are an equal distance from me so service area isn't far. heck if i got a good deal i'd order over internet or have one shipped to me. both when looking in the same class are similar in price. looking at the 4wr, hydro 25hr (range) with FEL.

Kioti seems to have a very strong following on TBN but overall is the smaller company. Kioti is sold as Daedong in other countries and makes all its own tractors, this strategy parallels Kubota's manufacturing methods.

Mahindra is reported to be one of the largest producers of tractors and ag equipment in the world, they are less developed here in the US, but dominate many other nations and seem to be pushing very hard here in the US. Reports have them as the #4 brand in the US market behind Kubota, John Deere and New Holland. Mahindra manufacturers many of its own tractors, but in the smaller sized units they utilize contract manufacturers the same way John Deere and New Holland do.

You might be well served to look through the Kioti & Mahindra forums to read about problems with their tractors and then make your own judgement on reported reliability. Also, spend as much time in the seat of each of these tractors as you can. Let those things, and the way the dealer treats you be influential factors. It is just a shame that both dealers bad mouth their competition.

Does it make me vicious if I knock my dealer and my manufacturer? /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif And, no, I don't own either a Kioti or Mahindra...

I think this comment is beneath your intelligence. I'm speaking of dealers who knock the competition. Buyers can knock poor dealers all they want, but who needs to hear the dealer run down another brand? It always makes me wonder why the dealer is so scared that he has to try to discourage me from checking out the other brand. I usually find out the other brand is better.
