kioti vs Woods Rear Finish Mower

Just wondering who makes a better rfm ...... Kioti or Woods. Does Kioti make there own rfm. If not who makes it? I also posted this in the Attachment section.

Kioti does not make their own RFM, its essentially the deck from the MMM with 3 point hitch hookups.

Woods makes a superior finish mower to nearly all other brands. RD is the std duty series, deep deck, high blade tip speed. PRD is the heavy duty with tapered bushings and anti shimmy casters. Both models have the same deck and gearbox.

I believe the Kioti finish mower is made by SICMA of Italy. The same mower is also sold under the Phoenix (see Everything Attachments video), WAC, First Choice, and several other brands. It is a good mower. I don't have experience with current-generation Woods mowers but they have a great reputation.

Ahh, I didnt realize the Kioti RFM is a rear discharge. I could have sworn I saw somewhere that the RFM is the MMM with 3 point hitch hookups.

The KIOTI Rear Finish Mowers are manufacturered now by Tsaesung (don't check my spelling), the same people that manufacture the KIOTI Backhoes, and the KL130 and KL120 Loaders. KIOTI no longer uses the Sicma Rear Mowers. The Mid-Mount Mowers for the CS2410 are not the same mowers as the rear mowers. The rear mowers are heavier and designed completely differently.

Thanks for the correction. The photo of the finish mower on the Kioti site looks exactly like my like my Phoenix, at least from what I can see in the photo. I wonder if they are that similar or if the photo is dated? I'd guess it's an old photo because the Kioti photo (like the Sicma) shows the brackets for the wheel casters mounted well above the deck while the Taesong mower bracket is right on the deck. I suspect the higher bracket puts more stress on the caster shafts. I have bent and broken several of those shafts where they attach to the fork. I think the hard rubber tires are responsible for most of the shock loads, for example when crossing a concrete sidewalk. Fortunately a local steel shop fixes them for me for about half the cost of a new fork (when you include shipping) and I always keep one or two spare built-up caster assemblies on hand for speedy repari.
