Good morning,
I'm farming in New Zealand...I've owned a JD 6200 for 7500 hours and have recently traded for a 6330 std.
The 6200 has been such a reliable and comfortable machine that I was very reluctant to change brands. A couple of things annoy me about the 6330 though.

16 years ago when I bought the 6200 I discovered that it had no intermittent wiper setting...not a huge drawback I know, but annoying on those occasions when working in showery weather, when intermittent is preferable to continuous. The new one is still lacking....I have asked the dealer to remedy this.
It does seem a bit miserly of JD to have the intermittent setting only available on the "premium" 6330.

The other thing is the position of the loader control stalk. The 6200 control is neatly placed in the panel just forward of the power shift but the new 6330 has the control on top of a stalk that emerges from the floor.
Now one of the JD sales pitches is the ability to turn the seat to the right for more comfort when ploughing etc., but this puts your right knee against the loader stalk...seems a backward step to me. It also precludes me putting my storage box there on the floor due to the unnecessary protrusion!

I have asked if it is possible to reposition the 6330 stalk to a similar position as my 6200...I'm not expecting a favourable reply.
Has anyone here any suggestions? Don't suggest there are other makes...I know Fendt and Case and Claas owners just as reluctant to change brands...sigh!
Has this bugged anyone enough to shift the stalk off the floor and put the control stick where it should be beside the range lever.

Cheers and best wishes all,
Ross.
PS I should have had a better look around and I realise now that this query is better posted in the specific JD users' forum.

G'day neighbour and welcome to TBN!

I can't help with your FEL control stalk position problem. Mine is in the same position and works great for me BUT I'm not using my rig for the same things as you are. Someone else will be sure to assist or suggest.

As to the wiper question... Could you pick up an intermittent 'kit' from an automotive or electronics shop? All you'd be doing is swapping an on/off switch for a reostat, which is basically a variable resistor. :2cents:

Hello Rosie and welcome to the forum.
You are right ,no intermittant is irritating.
I think you will find that your6200 loader control and loader is factory, and the 6330 is an after market dealer fitting. If you look at the base there should be 2 bolts, one of which has a handle to allow for adjustment(it is awkward to use)fore and aft. My 6920 has this set up with a Stoll loader. I simply shift the control back when I use the seat turned to the right to solve the uncomfortable knee problem. I also added a large dollop of silicon and made the part where my knee rubs a lot rounder for greater comfort when useing the loader.

Thanks for your responses Mguitas and Wagtail...I've reposted my query in the JD owning/operating forum.
I'm hoping that my dealer will fix me an intermittent wiper. It's a new tractor I'm buying and I feel it's a reasonable request.
The repositioning of the FEL control stalk is bit different...I'm curious to know if anyone has moved it from the floor to the console. The salesman tells me that it can't be done.
I know of one owner who has a premium 6330 purchased second hand and he agrees with me that the lever would be better placed in the console.
Cheers,
Ross.
PS Thanks Redman...I thought I may have been considered to be "picky" by requesting an intermittent setting but I'm pleased you also think that JD are remiss in not adding this setting...and if the stalk can pivot back then that may be satisfactory. Still seems a design flaw when it would be better placed in the console.
As this is an introduction forum I think we better PPPiSSoff to the JD owner/operator forum, cheers.

6200 traded and new 6330 arrived but not entirely satisfactory...the FEL stalk is as Redman suggests an "add-on" and I would really like to put a flea in the ear of the JD design team...anyone know how to contact them...unlikely I know but if one is reading this please PM me perhaps.
I'll update progress in JD owner/operator forum with my thread "New JD 6330"...cheers, Ross.
