Being somewhat of a rust fanatic, I was dismayed to see the top part of the KK 6' Bush Hog's Stump Jumper full of water and heavily rusted even while covered with a tarp for several years.
Any water that got in under/thru the tarp decended thru several holes into the cup shaped top of the stump jumper, there to stay.
So, I:
1. Drilled some small holes thru the stump jumper spaced evenly around, for any water that gets in to drain out.
2. Removed water, cleaned, and painted the inside top of the stump jumper liberally with Eastwood's Rust Paint.
3. Used GOOP to seal holes in the welding of the gear box mount plate to the main plate.
4. Used GOOP to glue appropriately sized metal covers (US Quarters for small holes, top of dog food can for big hole) to cover and water seal the holes.
