Just bought the TG60 new at TSC (Countryline). Some had mentioned it comes dry, but I only put 16oz in the pto gear box and 16oz on the side gear box. Current manual on KK site says it come with gear oil in it, but no grease. 16oz in the pto box seemed to me to be about 1/2 full as specified. 16oz in the side box did cause it to overflow. I had some mobile 1 synthetic grease for the outer bearing. I put in about 30 pumps before I ran out. The manuals says Type II grease. I used Rotella 85w140 gear oil.

Q1 -- Is the gear oil I used good? Mostly it surprised me that it only took 16oz in each.

Q2 -- Is the grease I used good? I'm not sure what type II is.

Called KK.

In late 09 they started putting some gear oil in the boxes. So it should only take a bit to top them off. I need to drain out the side gear box to where it's just weeping a bit.

As for the outer bearing -- tech said to put in 15 shots of grease, and then 1-2 shots thereafter. I have about 30 I'd guess, so it may leak out the seal, but he didn't seem to0 worried about it.
