Tiller KK2 Tiller La Magdalena PTO Shaft

I just bought a KK2 rototiller. I bought it in part because many people on this site seem to think it is a pretty good rototiller. And, given its price, a very good value.

It looks like my rototiller has the La Magdalena M4 PTO shaft (shafts for Bush Bandit). Unfortunately, there was no manual that came with the La Magdalena PTO shaft for me to reference. My question is... how do you disengage / remove the outer yoke from your tractor's PTO shaft? I'm guessing you just give the yoke a good yank (while pulling on the pin?). My Bush-Hog has a collar that you simply pulll back on as you put the yoke onto or pull off of the tractor's PTO shaft.

I thought I would ask before I stuck it on my tractor's PTO shaft without knowing how to get it off. That would be a problem!

My KK2 tiller has the Eurocardan shaft, but it just has the standard spring loaded lock pin. Push and hold the pin, and install/remove the shaft from the PTO. That's all there is to it.

I'm not shure what shaft mine has but the pto yoke has a large collar that you turn. Counter clockwise to release and clock wise to lock. Look under the tiller for the manual. I didn't find mine untill the first time I used it . I came out the back all chewed up.

My KK 2 tiller PTO shaft is the same as xlr82v2's. Push the spring loaded pin in (it will only go one way) and pull back on the yoke.

I just picked up my new KK 5'er on Tuesday and hooked it up to the tractor on Wed. Mine has a push-pin release on the PTO too. The PTO shaft seemed to fit my 790 well without any modifications. My instruction "manual" was taped to the underside as well but was a bit incomplete. No instruction on adjusting the slip clutch and I think they are waaay off base on how much lube is required in both gear boxes (overstated by 3x?)

Got a question on greasing that hub on the main end shaft - opposite of the gear drive side.....I must have at least 30+ pumps with the grease gun, and still no evidence of grease coming out. Question: how much grease is this gonna take? and where will it show up when it's full ?

I ran out of grease when doing the assembly....and was surprised at the quantity this bearing takes. Did a test "spin" anyway.....all is good if I ever get that hub filled with grease.

OH....it also said to grease two zerks on the PTO's protective cover. Hmmmm.....where would you do this???

guys i also got a question got a used 5 ft like new . the guy siad that he had to buy a new pto shaft because he cut it to short . thats fine he gave me the new and old shaft . the old shaft has the slipper clutch on it so i wanted to install it on the other shaft or fix the old shaft by buying new ends. but the slipper clutch doesnt even look like it would fit into the area that it goes . are there different sizes . and the slipper always goes in the tiller end not your tractor end right

In every case I've ever seen, the slip clutch goes on the implement end. But then again, I haven't seen all implements and I'm no expert!

Concerning the KK2 tiller PTO shaft, I've seen talk of yellow shafts and black shafts. Mine's olive drab green. Are these colors manufacture specific?

talked to tsc today new kk come with a black slipper that is not kk its tsc name brand . old kk come with the olive green/yelow. come to find out today they must of gave the first owner the the wrong slipper they have two differant sizes for the 5 and 4 and 6 ft tillers. they wouldnt say they gave the wrong one but the slipper is to big for my 5ft it wouldnt even fit into the erea it goes into. they siad they can get me the right one for 260

There are two plastic protrusions (one on each end of the plastic yoke covers). The grease helps the PTO shaft spin inside the cover.
