Well decided to grease my KL1450 FEL. I figured a ten minute job.....connect the grease gun, squirt each fitting 3-4 times and I'd be good for another 20 hours. A hour later and frustrated I am done! What in the world are these "pushed in" not even "pressed in" fittings? This is cheap! In some cases the grease actually forced the fitting right out of the hole! Then one also has to be very careful removing the grease gun connector or that will pull the fitting out as well! I cannot believe this. Anyone else considered taking the thing apart tapping treads and putting in REAL fittings? Maybe 5 hours now to save 10s of hours later.

Dave, I've greased mine several times without a problem. I'll check mine when I get her back from the dealer. Boy this loader seems to be a thorn in the side for Kioti. Wish they would have chosen another manufacture.

Dave,
I had a couple fittings fall out a while back.
The threaded part of the fitting was very short(few threads holding it).
I replaced them with fittings with a longer threaded section and they tighted up much better.

I bought packages of the sizes and angles on the loader, in self tapping threads, when the first one failed. So far though I have only replaced 2 on the loader and three on the front axel. I think the ones on the tractor got brushed up against something in the woods, but the loader ones were crooked to start with.

Kodiac, I will expand the problem of greasing to include the tractor itself. I was going through the greasing routine on my new LK3054 when, as I was trying to disengage the grease gun from the front axle greasing fitting, I broke the fitting top off! I'm really not that strong, honest! Happily the removal of the remainder came out OK. Unfortunately, thinking like an American, I tried to replace it with a non-metric fitting. Finally bought the right size at a local O'Riley store. My dealer did not have the grease fitting in stock. Now I have nine others available when I break another.
