KMW FEL on MT372D, lift cylinder rebuild/replace?

One of the lift cylinders on my FEL has developed notable flow-by (not sure of the correct term here). The FEL is a KMW model K72. Has anyone had experience with these?

I have the same FEL. When I use air to pressurize the lower fitting on both cylinders, I get blow by which, I was told, means the packing has gone bad. Did you ever find out if there is a way to fix this?

It looks like the end will just unthread (it will probably be TIGHT).

After that it's just a matter of being detailed, and replacing the o-rings and other things on the end of the piston. I assume a local hydraulic shop could source the parts.
