I've been using knee pads for decades. It's gotten so I wear shorts a lot and hate to kneel down on asphalt or concrete without extra protection and forget about gravel. But halfway decent ones have gotten up to $5 a pair.
Well Amazon has AmazonCommercial Non-marring Knee Pads, 9.5in, on sale 3 pair for $6.25. The top strap is a little tight but you cant beat them for about $2/pair.

I've always had a tough time finding knee pads that STAY. I've had great success with these for the last ~5 years. (same 2 pairs, too)

It's the joint, i think - means there is less push on the lower strap (which is the one that keeps them up on your calf muscle). Bonus is the design is very protective.

I've pretty much given up on knee pads for that reason, they always shift into an uncomfortable position. I've taken to just using an old piece of carpet or something as a pad.
I'll have to look into those you posted.

Knee pads keep slipping for me. I’ve been thinking of getting a pocket sewn over my pant knees that a piece of foam would slip in.

...retired from flooring industry. Knee pads, scrap carpet, thick/firm foam go a long way to prevent knee-monia!

My heavy Duluth Fire hose pants have that built in.
But like I wrote I wear shorts a lot (it's hot in Mississippi). I use knee pads like gloves. I try and keep pairs located in most of my buildings and where I may likely use them.
The ones I linked are still on sale.
1 pair $7.36
3 pair $6.25
6 pair $20.03.
So it looks like a price mistake to me.
For the $25 price of the pair that Orangetree showed I bought 9 pair. Should last me a while.

Many work like pants have double material over the knees for that purpose. So I have 5+ sets of pants with 1/4" closed cell neoprene foam pads in them. When the pants are shot I take them out and install them in new pants..

I can't stand knee pads. NEVER stay on, no matter what brand I tried. I buy these and use them until they are oil soaked and then grab a new one. They work great, don't skid around and last a long time.
