I hit a stump and bent the hydraulic filter on my Max22 (NOT E-MAX). I noticed it immediately and shut down but of coarse a bunch of fluid leaked out. Removed the bent filter and found that the filter mounting flange is also bent. Order new filter / mounting flange and an o-ring for the end of the pipe on the mounting flange. My question is: how many quarts of fluid would you add (after all parts are installed) before starting the tractor? Also what position should the attachment be in when checking the fluid? I guess I'm going to have to operate everything up and down to bleed the air out. Any advice?
PS: It's a Hydrostatic drive tractor with a front end loaded and backhoe.
