So when i bought my GC1710 a few months ago it was a package deal and included a Kodiak SD-4 48" bush hog.
I sat that aside until now that the weather is a bit cooler. Today I couldn't get it onto the 3pt hitch and PTO at the
same time. It seems the drive shaft is a bit too long. If I put the PTO on and try to back the ligft arms to the bush hog
pins the drive shaft collapses down to it's minimum length and its still too long to get to the pins. If I put the bush hog onto
the 3 pt hitch first, I can't collapse the drive line enough to get it to slip on the PTO. I am a tractor novice but generally
pretty good a puzzles and I just don't see how it could fit with this drive shaft. So my question is am I on the right track
here or is there some major thing I'm overlooking??? Does anybody have this bush hog on a GC1700 and can you tell
me the length of the drive shaft coupler you are using???
Thanks
