Rotary Cutter Kodiak 6' Medium Duty Cutter

I wanted to give a quick review on my new cutter. I bought a Kodiak 6' Medium Duty Cutter from Lemons Farm Equipment in WV and so far it has been great. I have an old Woods M5 mower that did well but it was time to move to a heavy duty design. I`ve mowed through a lot of 1"-4" multiflora and so far no issues or dents at all unless you count some of the paint chipping on the top of the deck. The two tail wheels seem to be a good choice as well. Just be sure to run the correct grease (EP-0). I could not find any locally so I added 00 grease from Tractor Supply. So far, I`d buy it again if I had to.

I have the same cutter, I cannot say enough good about mine either. Cuts like a champ, no problem with 2 inch materials. Had to put an edge on the blades after maybe 35 hrs of cutting.

I didn't know two tail wheels on the 6' MD were an option. I just googled their PDF and they only had the 3 pt in that size range, and no mention of dual wheels as an option. Seems they are unnecessary so they aren't available besides they would have to modify the deck to accept them. Something confusing here! I have the 6' MD 3pt also, with a single tail wheel. To go to duals you have to move up to drag type and wider mowers which require better stabilization due to width and being drag. I used the semi-syn Valvoline gear oil in mine when I bought it and figured I'd never be replacing it. Had it for 5 years, no problems.
