Hi
New 2 forum here.
I have a CV730s Kohler 25hp V-twin,
Low/no oil
to the cam bearing on the crankcase siezed the bearing.
It took me about 10 min of prying and cussing to finally get the cam out of the case.
The journal in the case is gouged and the steel cam journal is scored badly.
Crank and rods look good.
Has anyone used a bronze bushing in the case to renew the journal?
I was thinking of useing a .75in od bushiing with a .6in id and having the cam machined down to the .6 from the .75in original.
Or how to o/s the journal in the case and keep it centered?
Suggestions thoughts and ideas appreciated
thanks
AL
p.s I don't own a boat so I don't need a boat anchor!
