Kohler 700 Series Dies when it is warm

Hello I have 2016 Kohler 7000 series on a cub cadet zero turn with 110HR on it. It starts great and runs good when it is cold but after about 45 min of mowing it spits and sputters and will slowly catch itself then run good for a bit then eventually will die. It starts back up after but does the same thing. If I let it sit for a bit it is good for awhile again. It has fresh gas in it and 30W oil. I have checked the fuel caps for a vapour lock scenario but doesn’t help. Any help would be appreciated

It might be a fuel issue. Take the tank fuel line apart and make sure you have good steady flow out of the tank. You could have a blockage allowing the fuel line to fill slowly but not pass enough fuel to keep running for more than a short period. After that it could be the phony excuse for a fuel pump Kohler uses. It's also possible it's something heat related in the coil causing it to lose spark when warm. Fuel filter? Just throwing out possibilities here. A low pressure electric fuel pump in the line could help.

I agree its probably a fuel issue too. Possibly a small amount of water has gotten into the fuel filter and/or fuel line between filter and tank, creating an intermittent blockage. Continue using the Kohler, until fuel tank is nearly empty, then drain the lines and fuel tank of all remaining fluids. Replace the fuel filter, reconnect all lines and refill tank with fresh fuel. Hopefully, your good.

As soon as it dies, check for spark. Mine needed an adjustment of the igniter spacing to move it closer to the flywheel. When it got warm the distance increased and spark just went away until it cooled.
