Komatsu D20P-7E Hydraulic Fluid type?

Hi, I have a recently purchase 1997 Komatsu D20P-7E Dozer and the Hydraulic fluid is low. Anyone know what type it takes? Also I don't know who or when it was filled last time so is it safe to top off not knowing what is already in there? In other word would mixing be a problem.

I don't have a service manual...

I am not sure about a D20P model but I know the newer D21A-8 holds 5.5 gallons of standard hydraulic oil, ISO 32 viscosity is used in most climates. I would think the fluid capacity of yours is close to the same, so considering it's used and your not the original owner it probably wouldn't hurt to do a fluid and filter change. It's cheap insurance to alway's change all the fluids in a used piece of equipment since there is no way to guarentee what it's service history is.
