Korean Concerns?

reading the news and seeing what is going on over there, I decided to go ahead an order all my filters and junk for my next two changes. I figure there could always be an interruption of flow from there to here. If nothing else, I am stocked up and will likely avoid any future mark ups...

Anyone else been thinking about this, or is it just me? It also got me thinking, what would we do if they went at it? There is no way, unless an aftermarket manufacturer stepped in, that we could get parts once the current supply is gone.

No aftermarket manufacturer is making filters for them yet? Is it just an odd physical dimension or thread pitch? Or is it the specs of the filter media itself?
Just curious since it seems that theres ALWAYS some big filter company that actually makes them for the OEM, just different paint and #'s...
Cummins/Mopar is actually Fleetguard, Cat is Baldwin, Wix makes Napa, etc etc etc.. Kioti is actually producing their own filters? I haven't dsone my first p/m on my bota, Do ALL the tractor manufacturers do this?

I know you can get the oil and air on my DK45S at NAPA. Kioti E6201-32443 oil filter is a Napa 1324 / Wix 51324. The Kioti air cleaner E7230-11081 cross to NAPA 6489/ Wix 46489. I have been buying OEM filters from the dealer so far. I have used NAPA filters on my other tractors for years with no issues.

I haven't crossed the fuel filter or hydraulic filter. I would think there would be one out there.

I have NAPA filter #'s for all filters except the hydraulic filter that goes under the tractor can't seem to find a cross for that one.

I was thinking about more than just the filters. I would not expect to find many kioti parts just laying around on dealer shelves waiting to be ordered. I feel bad for the south koreans, they could fart and the north could view it as an act of war.

I hadn't thought about tractor part issues when all the Korea stuff happened last week. But, it is a valid concern.

Unfortunately, if something occurrred to disrupt tractor part availablity, I am afraid we will all have other more pressing issues as there is no doubt in my mind the US will be involved.

I would hope that both Kioti and Bobcat have their warehouses well stocked. I don't think it's going to be a big deal unless that spineless group in the White House decides to turn their backs on Korea as they have Europe.

NoKor makes lots of noise when they become desperate. The incidents earlier this month are their means of getting attention. It isn't like the old days when NoKor could count on their commie friends to jump up and help when they needed it. Doubtful that they could do anything militarily that would do much harm to SoKor's economy. They claim to have nukes, but that is not proven. They were able to get one missile to fire last year.
