I did go with him.
A bit of background info. I tried a Z before buying my F2680e back last year and not a big stick steer fan after years of steering wheels but figured I could learn. I started it, I sat there while studying all of the controls, I eased the sticks forward very slowly and gingerly proceeded forward at a fairly slow speed between the rows of Kubota tractors to a back area with some wider grass area and then became a bit more aggressive with the sticks to determine their reaction to my action in all different directions. I've never had a broken bone but have/had lots of small cuts but never any major injuries (Lord has helped protect me a bunch).
My brother and I are almost total opposites.
Gary got key to Z700, started it, Joe got on it, Barlows lot fully stocked with new and used tractors packing the acreages lot with small lanes between the rows. Gary shows Joe what knobs and pedals and tells him what levers do. Joe takes off toward many, many, many Kubota tractors,

I'm praying, Gary asks "has he ever driven a z" as Joe is flying erratically:shocked: toward one of the rows, can see his head going all over the place

between tractors, I tell Gary that he hasn't ever driven one, Gary said maybe he should have given more instructions,

Joe comes back in 2 or 3 minutes while covering 2 or 3 acres and I tell him to try going slowly and see what a difference it makes, he then proceeded at a slower pace

and then did a couple of 360s

and returned, never hit anything:thumbsup: that we could see from his few minutes demo. He dismounted and thanked Gary and said he'll let him know decision. If he buys after his wild ride, I'll be surprised. Should have put him in a 10 acre open field for his first drive.

He'll probably call me today and tell me how he probably needs to stay with his Husq riding mower and he'll probably be right. He won't get better with time and experience, I know him and have for 67 years.
