I got a 2011 Kubota 1140 CPX from the dealership with about 400 hours on it. All the paper work was good, servicing up to date, and everything checked out when I left. Over the last 3 months though, I'm noticing that there is a distinct rattle/knocking noise coming from the floorboard or maybe even the front end. You can feel something knocking through your toes it's that distinct. Not very loud, just very obvious. This only occurs in 2 WD and in Medium and High. When I put it in 4 WD, all is well with the world, no matter how fast or slow I go.
As opposed to driving an hour to haul this thing back to the dealership to have them take a look at it, I was going to try and figure out the problem and get my mechanic friend to apply the fix.
Any ideas as to what this is? I find it hard to believe that I managed to ding this thing up with 40 more additional hours of basic farm riding.
On a side note, if this is relevant, I did notice another weird problem. When there is more than one person in the RTV, it squeals at 23 MPH. When I'm alone, everything is fine...no noise.
Thanks much
