kubota 121-3 is it worth the price?

New to the forums and found a 2006 kx121-3 with 2869 hrs on the meter.
Second owner with tracks replaced at around 2700 hrs.
3 buckets with thumb is asking 27k.
Been searching for its value and finding nothing, It looks good and only has a few scrapes here and there.
Is there anything I should look for or at before buying it?

Minis have it rougher than larger excavators in general, so 2700 hours is like 5000 on a larger machine.

If it is top notch condition for the hours, then it's fair, but have a mechanic check it out for wear and tear.

If it is not at 70-80%, I'd pass or negotiate way down.

I'm going down the same road myself, but with the smaller kx-91. I'm looking for less than 500 hours, and in all probability will end up going new for $42,000. Almost 3000 hours would scare me away, as these machines normally get beat to crap. Check out machinery trader online, or tractor house.
