Kubota 2650 - Three Point Ball Hitch

Thanks all.

The cross-draw bar is what I was thinking about purchasing. I hadn't thought about it rearing up at an inopportune time. I'll give that some thought.

What people are saying is that a 3 point hitch can lift something that gravity wants to lower, but it has no downforce.
That is, if a trailer tongue wants to rear up there’s nothing to prevent it.
This can happen because of insufficient tongue weight, or when going down a hill and trying to hold a trailer back, or similarly when backing up and pushing with 3 point hitch.

Some people have been known to chain the 3 point hitch cross drawbar (or the 3 pt hitch receiver you linked) to the lower swinging drawbar so that it can’t rear up. -Just don’t forget and try to raise the 3 point hitch.
A chain also erases the reason people use a ball hitch on a 3 point hitch, primarily so you can lift and lower the ball. (Well I guess you can still lower it...some).

There may be other uses for a cross drawbar, but I wouldn't buy it for that flexibility. I would buy it because it is a heavy duty, quality USA made product. The cheap addition of a chain hook is a nice plus as well.

East30 my chipper is a Woodland Mills WC68. Solidly built and the B2650 runs it no problem eating 4-6" poplar without an appreciable drop of rpm. I just slowed the feed rate to minimum for bigger stuff and no issues.
Way back when I was running hand cranked model B vintage tractors the drawbar was the main implement link. All the attachments, like a sickle mower, hay take, plow, cultivator, seeder were all driven by their own wheels friction with the ground. The drawbar is almost an option now with hydraulics, 3 point, PTO doing the work. I got one with mine, have needed it.

Here is more confusion.... Might want to add a quick hitch to tractor if you plan to switch implements and attachment frequently...

And if you want to tow or pull something, any insert that will fit in receiver may be fair game...One just be aware of height above/below axle... You need to do more in depth research as to what can connect up to 3PH...

More confusion:

If you get a cross drawbar (for 3 PTH) for a variety of uses, but then put a ball on it for a trailer hitch you then need a way for the cross drawbar to not rotate (the ball away from the top).

There's a few ways to do that, this is one option:

(Check if applicable to a Class I 3PTH. While giving the versatility of a cross drawbar, one does have to watch making really tight turns with this especially if trailer has a "triangle" type "tongue" instead of 1 beam.)

Congrats on your new ride. Get sweaty and generally nasty looking and then drive by the kitchen window a few times. Wear a Kubota ball cap. It may take as long as a week, but you will find your spouse will find you and your tractor incredibly sexy, just don't run over her flowers. That said, the vette requires much less time and much less sweat and will win more races.

The 3 pt hitch the OP linked to will work, a short chain run down to the fixed drawbar will prevent unintended lifting of the 3 pt.
That chain can be long enough to allow full lift of the 3pt lift arms and still catch to prevent over lifting.
The linked drawbar is not quick hitch comparable.
I prefer one of this style with the dual ears for the lift arms that get a pin thru both ears, I find this style much easier to hook up and I believe less prone to getting twisted and bent.

I watched a few videos last night on chippers, the WC68 was one of them. Looks like an incredible piece of machinery.
