I have a 2001 L3010D 4 wheel drive tractor with shuttle shift transmission. The 3 point hydraulic piston and rod was replaced after the first time it was sold by the Kubota dealer. It was then sold to the second owner who sold it to me with the pretense of having a warranty. We were using the front end loader to move some wood chips. We heard a load pop and discovered the whole rear differential casting was busted by pressure from the inside. The tractor has been used about 400 hours. We found through another Kubota dealer about the previous repair and they had only given the second owner a 6 month warranty. A Kubota dealer in Alabama contacted us about our inquiry over the internet. He stated that if the tractor was not correctly repaired that the hydraulic piston and rod would create extreme pressure from the inside and bust the housing. I believe this tractor has a built-in defect and the dealer who attemped the repair will not send us a report as to the the repair performed. I would like to hear from anyone who has had a similar problem with their Kubota tractor.
