Kubota 3400

John, ours delivered is $16,900, L3400, 4wd, FEL,w/ 5'box blade and a 5' bush hog, tax included, loaded tires. With the blade and bush hog, about $1,000, seems we are at the same price overall. I don't know if southern prices vary that much, but if yours does not include tax, we might be just a tad lower. Good luck with yours.

The price I paid of $10,900 did not include sales tax. Figure another 7.5% for sales tax. Probably ends up in the same ball park as the rest of you guys. I have 5 hrs. on mine as of this date. I use it mainly for mowing. This is the first new tractor I have ever owned. I owned an old Bolens g152 for many years and was happy with it until parts started breaking and the cost of repairing wasn't worth the expense in keeping it. I looked at many models (NH,MF and older tractors). I drove the B7510 because I could keep all of my old implements from g152. I looked at the L3400 and knew I needed a bigger tractor for my gardens and road clearing projects. It also cut another 45 minutes off my mowing time. I am very happy with the 3400. As far as breaking in, I took the advice of several on this board. I drive in slower speeds at pto speed and after about 30 mins. I let it idle for a while. Dealer told me to break it in like I was going to use it. I let it warm up for several minutes prior to leaving the barn. I let it idle for several minutes before turning off. Don't know if this helps much . Good luck. Gunman

Thanks, there are two opinions about break ins. One is, go easy for x amount of hours, the other is drive it as you are going to use it from the start. Having built car engines, after running in the cam on a hydraulic cam, we drive it hard to seat the rings properly. Race cars engines are taken right out onto the track and thrashed from the start. I think the "go easy" thing goes back to engines in the 60's that were built with different metals and parts. I guess it depends on where you are standing as to which opinion to follow. Warm up, I agree, is the very least to do before stressing the engine. Thanks
