kubota 4 wd will not move

hi i have a l 3650 f 4wd kubota i changed hyd fluid , first pto would not engage now it will. i was trying different gears with main shift leaver also with shuttle shift f and r while still stopped ,also i changed speed leaver from fast to creep just so fluid would go thru everything, then i noticed i could not put clutch pedal all the way down, it was like stepping on something solid yet spongie at the same time,. with about 2 in or so of pedal left to push down i kind of got excited shut key off, i did here bang or noise when i did that. now pto works fine tractor will not move. i can shift main leaver in first gear with shuttle shift in neutral , and can not get f or reverse on shuttle, if i put main leaver in neutral, then shuttle will shift from f to r .also with shuttle in forward or reverse main leaver will not shift. they act like trying to shift with no clutch. clutch peddle now feels good . transmission leaver will shift with shuttle leaver in neutral,and vice versa. can,t get both to work together .anybody have any ideas : thank you in advance wayne

yes, kutoba hydraulic transmission fluid, first i over filled it then removed excess with drill pump

thank you for the reply. a few days go i noticed if i put creep speed or fast speed in neutral , i can shift both main shift leaver,s into first and shuttle leaver into forward or reverse ,but cannot shift into creep or fast from neutral on this leaver. can move creep if other two are in neutral. will pull clutch housing and motor apart when weather gets better, doing it outside still wondering if anybody has any what i can expect to be problem thank you in advance.

I'm trying to guess which of the several options this L3650 has. Is it a clutch-type shuttle or clutch-less hydraulic shuttle? Is there a "EC" decal on the hood? Does it have a 8-poition speed selector lever? (GST?) Does the pto have a separate clutch? If you could post more tractor option details it will help line up the symptoms with how the tractor is equipped.

Did the shifters act normal before the oil change? Changing the trans oil could possibly make a wet-clutch machine wake up slow but shouldn't affect the shifters.

ASSUMING it's a regular gear-type tractor with 2-stage dry clutch the symptoms sound like the travel clutch is dragging (not disengaging the drive wheels). That would make the shifters seem blocked unless something is still in neutral. I'm guessing that all shifters move easily if the engine isn't running?

One way to check for a dragging clutch is to jack up one rear wheel, block the other, select 2wd, and try the various levers with engine idling. If will go into gear turning the jacked up wheel, but grinds otherwise, the clutch is dragging. Try adjusting linkage before diving deep and splitting the machine. One troubling thing you mentioned is the "bang" it made when the clutch pedal had to be forced to go all the way down. The release bearing linkage inside may need work.

If the tractor has "EC" (wet clutch) none of this applies. Let us know. Dick B

thank you for reply. i went out and tried shifting without starting and it did shift fine ,all leavers. i put in 2 wheel drive and jacked up rear drivers wheel and left other wheel blocked, but got same results as before ,i could turn whit Resistance forward and reverse by hand in two w drive and all leavers in neutral . would not turn by hand in 4 wd. the tractor is 1992 kubota l3650 it has 8 f and 8 reverse gears as far as i know it has synchronized shuttle shifting using the clutch i think it has dual stage clutch because leaver on dash close to clutch pedal has to go toward right side to engage? also was working good before transmission oil change, how ever i bought this in oct. 2016 ,two weeks after i got it home i could smell clutch while pulling down a tree just for a moment it lasted. same thing two weeks later pulling trees up in too woods , and never did smell the clutch again, it is not gst. the files you att the adjuster to clutch in first file is same as mine. i adjusted clutch out a little last week ,now pto stops with clutch pressed fully down it was to late in the day to readjust. waiting for weather to improve before i brake clutch housing open, we got 38 cm of snow yesterday,not bad , i look at life now as it can always be worse. p/s the noise all so concerns me ? sorry for long response thank you again for your reply

sorry it took so long to reply back . Dick B was right. my son came home a month or so ago and we took tractor apart . the drive clutch disk separated between disk and the fly wheel . just took old duel clutch apart to day came apart fairly easy ,everything rusted. pto clutch disk looked real good. I replaced complete duel clutch unit, got it from a place called MY TRACTOR in Ont. also needle bearing, clip , and throw out bearing cost under $1100 cad. delivered to door in two days. same part # as dealer who wanted 1800+ for duel clutch alone .i did by crank bearing and transmission seal and a few more things from dealer thank you to any body who replied a great service to all thank you again
