KUBOTA 4400F starter clicking but does't catch

Problem started with dead battery. Jumped with good battery, starter clicks rapidly but won't catch. Replaced starter and the starter relay and new battery still just clicks repeatedly at high rate. Occasionally tries to catch for 2 clicks but then keeps clicking.
Any ideas! all fuses good. Is there another relay I don't know about? Seems like the solenoid is part of the starter.

Have you installed a new or good battery? Usually a weak battery will take the amps trying to charge itself before the starter gets the amps needed, thus the low voltage is keeping the solenoid from staying activated causing your clickety click.

Before going much further try a fresh battery installed or at least get the dead/weak one out of the loop.

Sounds like a bad cable or connection. Might try a good set of jumper cables from the battery to the starter. I would check all ground connection as well.

Of course, make sure tractor is not in gear before trying the jumper cable.

Yes sir, as I mentioned in the original post I have a new battery in there. It's strong and fully charged.
