Anyone here have inside info on this? When will it be available? What size? When will it be available? Will it be universal skid-steer attach type? How much will it weigh? When will it be available?

Weiser, guess you are asking if Kubota is going to make a 4in1 bucket and when. I haven’t heard any rumors of such and will be surprised if they ever make their own. They out source their backhoe buckets now and I suspect they would do the same with the 4in1.

There are several good suppliers of buckets available now that you can get. The size would depend on which tractor you are putting it on. Check out www.wrlonginc.com . They have a good reputation and make buckets as well as the hydraulic kits needed to plumb the FEL for a 4in1.

Thanks Mark.

I have heard here a couple times that kubota will be selling one soon. I am not surprised to hear that they outsource their buckets now, but - I guess I am assuming something here - I think that when they sell one with their "name" on it, I can get it along with their loader, on their tractor, and come out with a lower overall cost, and be assured that the bucket, loader, and tractor are all matched for performance, weight, and cost.

I am looking at the LA854 loader, which lists the following:

Lift capacity (pivot pin): 1129 lbs.
Lift capacity (bucket bottom mid point): 1874 lbs.
Lift capacity (19.7 in forward): 2509 lbs.
Lift capacity to 59 in. height at pivot pin: 3097 lbs.

I don't completely understand all the terms listed above, and could use some education there - and any feedback on how heavy and expensive a 4n1 for this loader should be...

Thanks again Mark, - and anyone else - who might have thoughts or insight on this.

They did, they do not any more. There are several Kubota 4-N-1's comming that are being built by Kubota. I suspect the first ones will be comming for the B26, larger ones to follow. As was said, there are dozens of companies that make these already. The nice thing with the Kubota buckets is that the weight and build of the bucket will match the tractor - most 4-N-1's are made for much larger machines.

Neil, that is interesting, I had not heard that Kubota was now producing their buckets and stand corrected. I know the bucket on my B21’s backhoe was made by Woods. I’ll look forward to seeing what they come out with.

Curious, if a customer buying a mid utility must have a 4-in-1,(today!) Which do you sell or recommend?
thanks

UPON FURTHER REVIEW
I see you carry Gannon. Would you post or PM a "ball-park" price for a la854? The REAL question is, Will the L5740 have enough power to use the dozer feature, mainly for road work and moving some clay around small water holes? The Gannons do look SERIOUS! It's been SO dry, we are carving small watering holes. We have excellent clay at 3-4'.

Is 84" the smallest?

I can't speak to your question regarding a Kubota 4n1, but I do have the WRLong on my L2800.
It is a great tool, but it does have limitations. The "dozer" feature is fine for pushing or leveling a loose pile. Don't expect to do any serious grading on hard pan. Also, the bucket is heavy. This makes it kind of difficult to float.

I love this forum.

still looking for expected price, weight, and availability. If it will be soon, and if kubota offers it on the loader initially, I'd like to get this as my only bucket - otherwise, I will try to get the loader without bucket, and pick up another manufacturer's 4n1.

We use construction attachments buckets for compacts, they are priced pretty well. ATI makes some smaller ones as well, their stuff is expensive but very well made.

Weiser, it has been my experience that most dealers will install a different than stock bucket on a new tractor if that is what you want. Price and weight are going to vary with what after market buckets the dealer carries. When I bought my L39 a WRLong 4in1 bucket and the extra hydraulics were going to cost $3500 less a $1000 credit for the standard Kubota bucket. Weight is a factor because it decreases your FEL capacity. I looked in to a 4in1 bucket for my B21 and as I recall it weighed about 200 pounds more than the stock bucket. That tractor has about a 1000 lbs. lift capacity and I thought I would loose to much lift so never bought one.
