If you have to split a Kubota 5000 there are some "Watchits".
The repair manual is somewhat foggy in places so common sense is vital. First, the "book" says drain all transmission and hydraulic fluid. Unnecessary if you are not going into the transmission, just after the clutch. (2)To remove the hood, or "bonnet" unfasten the prop and raise it straight up. Two pinned hinges in the back. (3)You do not have to remove the steering wheel, the cowl will come off over it. (4)The 3 point hitch hydraulic supply line, coming from the bottom of the pump to the valve under the floor pan, must be removed completely. Do not, DO NOT, DO NOT! attempt to pry or pull this line out of the way of obstructions while separating. Any misalignment is near impossible to cure to reattach and slight bends are killers.
