I have an early 70's Kubota 6100. I put a new battery in it last weekend and burned out my rectifier. After I unhooked the battery, I noticed that I had a red battery terminal wired in as a ground. I had hooked up the battery with a positive ground. Does anybody know if this is a 12V positive ground? I am wondering if someone before me just put in a wire that happened to be red when it should have been black. The tractor starts and runs fine with the positive ground, but I did I fry my rectifier by doing this? I don't want to make this mistake again, if it is incorrect.
Thanks for your help,
Chris
