Kubota 7100 HST power steering problem

I have a 96 Kubota 7100HST and it steers hard I don't think the power steering is working correctly (I just bought the tractor) any ideas? I have been told it is plunger that is stuck? I was told it is a 1996 model on the hood it says power steering it is a B2100 HST 4 wheel drive How can I check the #'s to see what year it is?thanks Larry

A 1996 B7100 Kubota did not come from the factory with power steering.

If there is power steering it is an aftermarket add on.

Yep, Larry, like Egon said. I bought a new one in 1995 myself. They didn't have power steering and I've never even seen an aftermarket power steering on a B7100. I've seen some aftermarket, add-on power steering arrangements on some bigger older tractors of another brand, but never for the B7100.

OK, a B2100 is a bit different from a B7100, and I don't know about that.

If you increase the REV's does the steering get better?

no it does not turn easier if reved up,it has a loader and the hydraulics on it work fine

Would it be possible to get the pump output pressure and compare it to specs?
