Kubota 9\' or woods 9000 backhoe

Ive been looking at backhoes for my Kubota mx5000 dt. I decided on the bradco 511...but they do not offer a subframe for my tractor /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif I'm looking now at the kubota l4560 and the woods 9000. They seem similar. Any one have comments on either. Do you have to take off the three point arms with the woods? I wanted to put the most backhoe possible on the tractor. Any other suggestions. Bradco says they need enough requests for my tractor model to make it cost effective to build a subframe.

I have a L3130 and Woods 9000. The 4pt frame connection stays with the tractor. The 3pt arms stay in place but need to unbolt sway arms and tie them out of the way, only takes a couple minutes.

Ctyler I just sent you a private message concerning price of your subframe and stuff. Can you reply while you are still on line?

Re: Kubota 9\' or woods 9000 backhoe

I think you are wise to go with the subframe, even with a larger tractor. I went with a Woods because the Kubota hoe for my tractor doesn't include a subframe. On mine I do have to remove the 3PT arms, but that might not apply for your application.

However, while I don't really know what I'm talking about in this particular area I've heard lots of good things about the Bradco hoes. But that is just heresay and wouldn't be admitted in a court of law /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif.

Re: Kubota 9\' or woods 9000 backhoe

A dealer who sells Woods recently quoted me $9,800, installed, for a 9000 with 12 and 24 inch buckets, subframe and pto pump. If a new tractor purchase were involved, the price would be less of course, but that still sounds maybe $1,000 high to me. If anyone else has an opinion about the price, I'll appreciate it!

Mine was 7k with the tractor purchase and using the tractor hydraulics. The PTO version was about $700 more. Adding a remote was about the same and I can use the remote with my HTL or dump trailer etc..

Re: Kubota 9\' or woods 9000 backhoe

granddad that price seems a little high for the 9000. I have dealer checking right now for me with woods for the exact subframe, but he is saying about 7800 -8000 installed. I have been doing alot of research and for the 4610 bradco makes a subframe. I wish they made one for my mx5000. You should look into the bradco 511. you get two feet more reach and a little more juice in the caboose when you compare specs of the 511 to the 9000.

Find out who actually builds the Kubota hoe. Woods used to. You may be paying more for decals.

Thanks for comments, CTyler and Kubotapat. Confirms my thinking on that price being pretty high. Guess I'll keep on shopping... we are lucky enough to have several Woods and Bradco dealers to choose from in this area.
