Buying Advice Kubota Air Ride Seat??

Thanks, I didn't know that. I paid $1100 for the Grammar for my L5740 and didn't want to do that again.

Here's a pic of the seat from my L4060.

When I look at the pics of the new air ride seat I am confused about the base??? Is the base part of the new seat or a seperate base like shown in 4shorts picture?

I hope it has a seperate base, cause it doesn't look like it would mount on the current seat base?

The new seat pics don't show the seat belts, or operator presence system?

If you have to remove the whole seat and just install what is shown in the pics.....thats going to be a short seat..... especially when you look at the current seat.....or 4shorts seat.

Then again.....maybe I am missing something?

The new air ride seat from Grammer comes with an entirely new base, and you remove the old seat/base on the L60 to install it. There was a wire loom coming off the seat that I didn't get a picture, which I believe includes a plug for the operator presence system and 12 volts to power the seat.

I have the air ride seat in my M5040 and it is well worth it.

You keep the same seat.....it just removes the exisiting base and adds the air ride base..... a very nice improvement for around $500.

I looked at many variations of the air ride components to add to the OEM seat and I couldn't find one that would be the right height or the right fit for the 40 series and believe me, I tried. My seat came in at $1100. As well and it was hands down the BEST money I ever spent. I may even put on on the BX yet.

You guys could do the hillbilly air ride seat. All you have to do is eat some Mexican food and the suspension seat will now be a air ride seat. Be careful if you have a cab tractor. :laughing:

The bad thing about the dealer installed options like the air ride seat is you are throwing away a perfectly good seat.

Here's the Grammer air ride in the L40

I'm resurrecting an old thread here.

I want to order an air ride seat that fits an L6060 to go into my M59. This post looks like the same seat assembly as the L6060 and I know the same assembly is used in several models.

The dealer is unable to get me any kind of dimensions on the seat base and there is a 25% restocking fee if I order it and it doesn't fit.

Does anyone on TBN have this seat and would you be willing to get me the following dimensions please?

Base Length x Width (preferring the slide rail dimensions)
Mac seat bottom width and length
Seat height to suspension base with suspension fully compressed and fully extended.
