I just installed a Kubota remote aux valve on my L3130. Does anyone have any pics of their's? It seems like a real pain in the butt to disconnect the quick disconnect lines. Maybe I'm not doing it right. Any thoughts?? Thanks.

On my L3830 I just pull on them and they pop right out. Inside that cast iron block there is a spring and when pulled on, it pulls the compression ring up to the block and causes the ring to be pushed back for release.

I don't have a picture handy, but mine you just sort of push on the hose and they let go/grab depending on whether you are disconnecting or connecting. Sometimes it takes a couple of tries.

I found out the other night that quick disconnects don't cooperate on the connecting if they are pressurized. My FEL bucket wasn't in a relaxed state when I disconnected and I couldn't reconnect the hose because the 'pin' couldn't be pushed back enough to let things mate up. I relieved the pressure in the hose pby pushing the pin back with a clean 3/8 extension. Messy, but problem solved....

You were lucky, I left my backhoe standing on the stabilizers the first time I disconnected it. Enough hydraulic oil had to be bled to get it on the ground before a reconnect could be made. Very messy. Think I'll ever do that again in my lifetime? Not very probable /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Oye! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

That sounds like a lot of grief.

Did you try jacking the hoe up to get the weight off the stabs? That was my fall back position with my FEL, which is at least lighter than a hoe.

I wonder if there is a better way ?

Thanks guys. I was also wondering about some parts I had left over. There are two bushings/spacers that I could not figure out where they went. Anyone else have the same?
